Apricot Nut Bread

Cover apricots in warm water and soak for 30 minutes. Drain and cut with scissors into small pieces. Mix together the sugar, butter and egg. Stir in the water and orange juice. Sift together the flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Blend in the nuts and apricot bites. Bake in a well greased 9x5x3-inch loaf pan at 350° for 60 to 65 minutes.
