Apricot Whip

Melt oleo in the top of a double boiler. Add flavoring, eggs and powdered sugar. Cook until the mixture is thick for 4 to 6 minutes. Set aside and let cool. Crush the vanilla wafers and pack them in a large cake pan. Spread the filling over the crumbs. Whip the cream, then add the vanilla and spread half over the filling. Place the apricot halves over the whipped cream and sprinkle chopped pecans on top. Spread with the remaining whipped cream and top with crumbs. Refrigerate overnight.
