Barbecue Country-Style Ribs

Instructions:

Melt shortening in large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add ribs and cook until browned, turning to brown evenly. Add onion and cook, stirring frequently until onion is tender. Drain.

Combine remaining ingredients and pour over ribs. Cover and simmer over lo wheat 1 hour or until meat is very tender. (Add additional water if needed to prevent sticking.) Skim fat before serving.
