Bavarian Cream

In a saucepan, mix the gelatin, salt and 1/4 cup of sugar. Beat the egg yolks and milk in a separate bowl until well blended, then add to the gelatin. Cook and stir over low heat until the gelatin dissolves. Add the vanilla and chill the mixture until it begins to stiffen. Beat the 2 egg whites until soft peaks form. beat in the 1/4 cup of sugar a little at a time, then fold into the gelatin mixture. Beat the heavy cream until stiff then fold into the gelatin mixture until smooth. Place in individual molds or one large mold.
