In a mixing bowl, beat the softened margarine and cream cheese until thoroughly combined, then stir in the flour. Press a rounded teaspoon of dough into 24 1.75-inch muffin cups evenly into the bottom and up the sides. In a small mixing bowl, beat together the egg, brown sugar and melted margarine. Stir in the pecans. Fill each pastry cup with 1 heaping teaspoon of filling and bake at 325° for 30 minutes or until the pastry is golden and the filling is puffed. Cool slightly in the muffin cups, then remove and cool completely on a wire rack.
