Cook the asparagus in boiling water for about 4 to 5 minutes or until crisp-tender. Plunge in ice water to halt the cooking process, then drain, cover and chill for 2 hours. Whisk together the sesame oil, rice vinegar, soy sauce and sugar in a mixing bowl and chill for 2 hours. Arrange the asparagus on a serving dish and spoon the dressing evenly over the top. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
