Freezer French Toast

Mix together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla and nutmeg. Place the bread on a a rimmed cookie sheet. Pour the egg mixture over the bread and let stand for a few minutes, then turn over and let stand until absorbed. Freeze the bread uncovered until firm, then package in plastic bags and return to the freezer.

Lightly grease a baking sheet and brush each piece of bread with melted butter on both sides, then bake at 500° for 8 minutes, then turn over and brush with butter and bake for 10 minutes until brown.
