Ham and Mushroom Souffle

Remove crusts from bread and cut into cubes. Grease a 9x13 baking dish. Beat eggs and then add the milk and butter to the eggs. Alternate bread cubes and cheese in layers in the baking dish, then cover with the egg mixture. Cover and let stand in the refrigerator. Top with the sliced mushrooms and bake at 325° for 1 hour. During the last 15 minutes, sprinkle a handful of cheese on top.
