Scald the milk in a sauce pan over low heat. Slowly stir in the cornmeal, then remove from the heat. Add the molasses, sugar, eggs, butter, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and blend thoroughly. Add sour milk gradually and blend. Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish and bake for 2 hours or until a knife in the center comes out clean in a slow oven at 275°. Serve warm with cream.
