Lemon Asparagus

Snap off the tough ends of asparagus, then remove the scales from the stalks with a vegetable peeler if desired. Cook asparagus in boiling water to cover for 5 minutes or until crisp-tender, then drain. Plunge into ice water to stop the cooking process and drain. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat, then stir in the lemon juice and salt. Add the asparagus and cook just until heated. Transfer to a platter and drizzle with sauce, then sprinkle with cheese shavings. Serve immediately.
