Moist Pound Cake

Preheat the oven to 300°. Lightly grease and flour a 10-inch bundt pan. Cream the shortening, butter, sugar until light and fluffy with an electric mixer. Add the eggs one at a time, beating after each. Beat in the extracts. In a separate bowl, combine the baking powder and flour. Stir into the creamed mixture alternately with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry mix. Once mixed, pour into the prepared pan. Bake for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until it tests done with a toothpick. Let cool in the pan for 15 minutes then remove and cool completely on a wire rack.

You can serve this cake plain or with whipped cream and the fruit topping of your choice.
