In a mixing bowl, cream the shortening and brown sugar. Beat in the molasses. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine the remaining ingredients and stir into the batter. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Shape into 1-inch balls and place 2 inches apart on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes or until browned.
