In a mixing bowl, add the yeast to the milk and let stand for 5 minutes. Stir in the remaining ingredients except for the flour and beat thoroughly. Cover and let rise unti light. Add the flour and mix thoroughly. Cover and let rise again until doubled in size. Turn onto a floured board, pat and roll 1/4-inch thick. Shape and let rise. Bake at 425° for 12 to 20 minutes, depending on the size of the biscuits.
