Skin onions and cut into thick slices. Melt butter in a nonstick or stainless-steel skillet. Saute onions and add celery. Cook until tender. Place in a 1 1/2-quart baking dish and stir in cream. Mix remaining ingredients and sprinkle on onion mixture.
Bake at 375° until topping is browned. Serve hot.
