Toffee Squares

Ingredients:

• 1 cup butter
• 2 cups flour
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 1 egg yolk
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 bar (8oz) german sweet chocolate
• chopped nuts

Instructions:

Mix together all the ingredients, except the chocolate, and pat thinly in a 9x13-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and while hot, spread quickly with the german sweet chocolate. Sprinkle the top with chopped nuts and cut into squares.
